an unedited lament

Using the guidance on https://cac.org/daily-meditations/holy-lament-weekly-summary/, I wrote my own lament based on various Psalms.

Lament

God, I try with all my might 

to holler, shout and let out

all my disdane. I cannot face

the pain, the heartache, in this place.

Conflicts, war, Gaza, Ukraine,

Why can't you save? Instead you've slain.

Lay down the weapons? Make them cease?

Open up hearts to opportunities of peace?

And yet, I must trust, that Your good will win.

It's hard though when the ice is so thin.
