...of the random shizzle I've been up to lately.

10-02-2012: I made a snowman using the snow on the balcony of my apartment

19-02-2012: Ascoli Carnival.  For the beginning of Lent, celebrations take the form of a carnevale when many people dress up.  Ascoli is a town an hour or so away from Pescara, known in the area for their celbrations consisting of random groups of people putting on "acts" and "sketches", many with a political twist.

25-02-2012: A gate to Lecce, a town in the south of Italy.

26-02-2012: An example of Italy's brilliant view of "health and safety", this time whilst on a trip to the surrounding area of Lecce.  This is the cover for a well that's 10 ft deep.  Not really any point in the grill over the top!

26-02-2012: A pool that's a few metres inland from the sea in one of the towns near Lecce.  Such a beautiful place.

29-02-2012:  Another example of "health and safety".  This manhole lost it's cover when a bulldozer pushed it off whilst clearing the snow 2 weeks before taking this photo.  Between the cover being lost, and the cover being replaced the warning for the HUGE HOLE in the road consisted of a lonely traffic cone for one week.  This was replaced with one barrier until the cover was replaced and the barrier upgraded to the above!

02-03-2012: Note to self: wear a high neck top when feeding my friends parrots and possibly ear muffs.

04-03-2012: My friends cross-country skiing in the Gran Sasso National Park.

04-03-2012: Me, looking like a pro whilst cross-country skiing...a rather fantastic video will prove that this certainly was not my normal...shall we say...stance.
